Theatre workshop - classes III-V
A Theatre workshop is being conducted in the school by the resource person Mr. Vipul Pachori, a Theatre Expert (From 13.02.17 to 18.02.17). The workshop includes various activities such as Name Game,Memory Game,Pair Game etc. On the first day of the workshop, the resource person along with the teacher incharge Ms Nikhar Khanna started with the planning, screening and selection of appropriate plays.On the second day of the workshop, the designing and characterization of the play started along with some Theatre activities such as Mirror Game, Expression activity etc.
Workshop on Rubik's Cube - Class V
A workshop was conducted by AVAS for class V on Rubik's Cube and how to solve it. The facilitator, Ms. Tanya gave each student a Rubik's Cube making it easier for them to learn different stages along with the rules to make distinct patterns individually. The students were also provided with handouts to aid learning and making them aware about different orientations, edges and layers.
English Story Narration activity - Classes I-II
Students of Class I & II narrated stories with the help of props. This activity helped in overall development of the child and even enhanced their confidence and stage presence.
Excursion to Adventure Island - classes VI-VIII
The students of classes VI-VIII went for an excursion to Adventure Island along with 10 teachers. The students had an amazing time as they enjoyed many rides including the roller coasters. They also relished the lunch provided to them.
Visit to National Level CBSE Science Exhibition
15 students of class VIII along with Science teacher Ms. Neha Sharma visited National Level CBSE Science Exhibition. They saw various exhibits which helped them to increase their scientific temper and got knowledge related to various fields of science and its application in daily life.
Chocolate Day celebration - Classes Nursery-II
Students came dressed in brown colour attire and brought items made from Chocolate. Eatables prepared from Chocolate were displayed in the zion room and it was decorated as chocolate room. Students were shown how to make chocolates as well as chocolate mousse at home and they relished chocolates during the meal time. Students were also shown a video on how to make chocolates at home.
Inter House Cricket Match- Classes III-V
An Inter House Cricket Match was played for third place between Vivekananda & Teresa House. Vivekananda House scored 19 runs by fall of 3 wickets in 3 overs (Krish Malik of V-B scored 10 runs and Pratham Bhalla of III-A took 1 wicket) whereas Teresa House scored 8 runs by fall of 5 wicket (Ravit Suji of IV-B scored 4 runs and Kunwer Grover of IV-A took 2 wicket). Vivekanand House won the match by 11 runs and Kunwer Grover of IV-A was declared the Man of the Match.
Inter House Cricket Match- Classes III-V
An Inter House Cricket Match was played between Radhakrishnan & Tagore House for classes III-V. Radhakrishnan House scored 12 runs by fall of 6 wickets in 3 overs (Rishi Kumbhat of V-C scored 6 runs and Harhsit Jain of III-B took 3 wickets) whereas Tagore House scored 13 runs by fall of 1 wicket (Atishay Jain of V-C scored 8 runs and Anshuman Jain of V-B took 1 wicket). Tagore House won the match by 9 wickets and Harshit Jain of III-B was declared the Man of the Match.
Walk For Life-Stride Against Cancer
8 student volunteers of Interact Club participated in 10th Walk For Life-Stride Against Cancer at Rajpath. The event was organised by Rotaract Club of Sri Aurobindo College, associated with Rotary District 3011 and in collaboration with Can Support. Many cancer survivor celebrities such as Manisha Koirala graced the event. Students of our school along with Interact Club advisor Ms. Ankita Podder & Co-Advisor Ms. Jessica Chahal joined the walk to support Cancer survivors. More than 24 school, 30 MNCs and 100s of individual participated in this event.
Medical Check up
Medical Check up of classes V-VIII was done in the school. The students underwent check up for ENT (Dr. Neha Jain), Physician (Dr. Naveen), Dental (Mr. Arvind) & Eye (Dr. B.B. Sharma).
