Show & tell Activity - Class Nursery
To enhance the confidence and oratory skills, Show'n'Tell activity was organized for Nursery students. The students showcased their skills by speaking on "My Favourite Toy" and "My Favourite Cartoon Character" topics with self introduction. Students enjoyed talking and sharing their likes & dislikes with their friends.
The Annual Vivekanand Competition (2016-17)
Ishaan Pant (VIII-A), Asmi Raj (VIII-B), Suraj Kaushal (IX-A) & Katyani Gupta (IX-B) attended National Youth Day Celebration. The students were facilitated by Dr. S.N. Subba Rao, Director, National Youth Project Gandhi Peace Foundation as they qualified for the final round of The Annual Vivekanand Competition (2016-17) conducted by Ramakrishna Mission Delhi. In this competition, nearly 1180 students from 159 schools participated. The theme of the competition was 'Enlightened Citizenship".
Special Assembly on Republic Day by class IX-B
Disha Jain and Vaishnavi Arora talked about the significance of Republic Day which was followed by a patriotic song.Vedant Gaur took the mass pledge along with the other students on Republic Day.
Workshop on "How to Solve a Rubik's Cube"
A workshop was held for class III in association with AVAS on "How to Solve a Rubik's Cube". It was a well-organized workshop where every student was given a Rubik's Cube to work on. Additional help was provided through a hand out with directions to be followed.
Donation Drive to Love Care Foundation
6 students (Sparsh VIII-B, Atulit VIII-A, Chirayu VIII-A, Shreya VIII-B, Aarushi VIII-B, Ira VIII-B) along with 3 teachers (Ms. Chetna, Ms. Nikhar, Ms. Aanchal) went to Love Care Foundation, Kalyan Puri. The purpose of the drive was to make the students understand the importance of empathy and also sharing the pain and misery of the less privileged part of the society. The students donated Clothes, Stationery and Books, Toys and valuable items such as shoes, food etc. to the residents.
Workshop on "Eat Intelligently" - Classes VII-VIII
A workshop on "Eat Intelligently" was organized in collaboration with Litchi for classes VII-VIII. The workshop focused on healthy eating habits, adulteration in food and the choice/preference in eating certain kind of food. A number of activities related to the topic were also organized by the resource person, Ms. Shipra Sehgal.
Roll Ball Skating Competition
Maitri Jain of class VII-C won Bronze Medal in Roll Ball Skating Competition conducted by Roll Ball rnFederation of Rajasthan at Udaipur .
Inter house Solo Instrumental Competition
4 students (classes III-V) participated from each house for the competition which was conducted to promote individual talent of students.rnShashwat,rnAgamjot andrnSwadha of class V-B secured I, II & III position respectively.
Parent Orientation Programme on Stream Selection and Career Choice
Parent Orientation Programme on Stream Selection and Career Choice by Mr. Jitin Chawla was held in the school. Students and Parents were enlightened by the speaker on various career options available. He guided them to look for their aptitude and choose the right stream in class XI for a bright future.
Teachers visit to "The Joy of Learning" exhibition at Indra Gandhi National Centre for Arts
Goenkan teachers , Ms. Pallavi Seth, Ms. Fiza Malhotra, Ms. Romina Kumar, Ms. Lalita, Ms. Varsha Singh, Ms. Shikha Dawar, Ms. Neha Rana visited an exhibition named "The Joy of Learning" organized by Salwan Public School at Indra Gandhi National Centre for Arts at Janpath. New and innovative ideas like creating Shadow stories from different objects, sand tracing on lighted glass pane and sound travel through PVC pipes for the developing young minds were discovered.
