Workshop on Stress Management - Class XI-XII

Ms. Sonia, Resource person spoke about the anxiety symptoms of stress in student's life. She discussed various factors such as career aspirations, family expectations, curriculum overload, deadlines, digital distraction and peer competition that induce stress. Mrs. Amrita Shanker elucidated on the fusion of science and spirituality. She cited many techniques to achieve mindfulness such as deep breathing, meditation, maintain a gratitude journal, visualize etc.


Orientation session - Class XI-XII

An interactive cum orientation session regarding Board registration held for parents and students of class XI & XII. The session was conducted by the Principal of the school ; various CBSE circulars were discussed. Parents were notified about compulsory 75% attendance , failing which their ward will not be allowed to take exams. The session also stressed upon importance of students presence during school activities and functions. Parents were made acquainted with the latest CBSE examination scheme. The session was followed by a career seminar by Mr. Pawan Solanki , a renowned career counsellor. He shared information about the top universities of the world and their admission procedures. 


Mega Tree Plantation drive

The mega tree plantation drive event was hosted by Indraprastha School sarvodaya in collaboration with DDA Horticulture division at DDA Green Area Sector 37, Rohini. The drive was started so as to promote a spirit of environment conservation and to ensure nurturing of green area for more green cover. Two students of class VI B along with two science teachers went for the plantation drive and gained much insight of such drives and how to proceed with the same, with much excellence. Chief Guests for the day were- Governor Anil Baijal of Delhi and Member of Parliament Mr Hansraj Hans.


Visit to UNESCO auditorium

Goenkan students visited the UNESCO auditorium in New Delhi on 9th Aug 2019 to attend a meeting organised to celebrate the International Youth Day. This meeting was organised by UNESCO primarily to build awareness and to encourage wider participation in UNESCO's ongoing youth engagement programmes in India. The welcome address was given by Mr. Eric falt Director and UNESCO's representative to Bhutan, India, Maldives and Sri Lanka. Ms  Suhanini Singh Founder of Indian Cultural hut. The next presentation was followed by I DEOSYNL UNESCO information fellowship fellows.

Special Assembly on Raksha Bandhan & Independence Day - Classes III-VI

A Special Assembly was conducted to celebrate the bond of love over gender bias on the festival of Raksha Bandhan and Independence Day. The students depicted how siblings irrespective of their gender stand for each other. Unprecedented patriotic fervor was spread through melodious group song presentation. The assembly also consisted of poetry recitation, speech and solo dance. The event concluded the with National Anthem.


ISA Activity: Inter House Philosopher's Quiz(final round)- Classes IX-XII

Four teams participated in the quiz with 2 students each. There were 2 levels of competition and each level reached 4 rounds. Students participated enthusiastically in the quiz. 


Online Science Olympiad - Class XII-A

The exam was organized by science teachers to promote scientific attitude and temperament amongst the students. The exam duration was one hour and it consisted of 50 objective type questions of 1 mark each for class XII (science stream).  


Inter house Patriotic Group Song Competition - Classes V-VI

The participants of all the four houses were dressed in Tricolour, wonderful leaders and soldiers showing the true spirit of India. Each house presented a Hindi patriotic song and showcased mastery over voice modulation, pitch, rhythm and tone.
